Watch: Video Emerges Of Urine Bottles Allegedly Thrown By Jamaat Members

A video has now emerged of the urine bottles which were purportedly thrown by members of the Tablighi Jamaat who are being held in quarantine in Delhi.

The video, tweeted by Jitender Sharma, a journalist at Zee News, shows a bottle full of a yellow liquid lying on the ground next to a row of flats. The man shooting the video zooms in to the bottle, while saying that they were thrown from the nearby flats moments earlier. The man claims that the bottles were full of urine. A policeman can be seen walking around the bottle, while the men shooting the video claim the videos came from flat S-112. The video then zooms to the flat where the bottles were allegedly thrown from, where a man can be seen standing. He then calmly walks indoors.

The Daily Switch could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.

Soon after the incident, the Delhi Police had registered an FIR against unidentified persons on the basis of a complaint that some Tablighi Jamaat members, who are currently quarantined in Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) flats in Dwarka, allegedly threw a urine-filled bottle at sanitation staff.

ANI reported that two bottles filled with urine were found in the premises of the quarantine facility, which falls under the Dwarka North Police Station area. The FIR was filed under Section 269 and 270 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The complaint, registered by civil defence personnel of DUSIB, stated: “The intention behind the indecent activity of throwing of bottles filled with urine may be to spread coronavirus among other people.”

The police are currently investigating the matter.
