Manish Sisodia’s OSD Caught Red-Handed Accepting Bribe Of Rs. 2 Lakh

For a party that was founded on an anti-corruption plank, corruption in the Aam Aadmi Party now runs to the very top.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Gopal Krishna Madhav has been caught accepting a bribe of Rs. 2 lakh. Madhav was arrested in a late night operation for allegedly receiving a bribe of over Rs 2 lakh in a matter related to GST. The officer was taken to the CBI headquarters for questioning.

Given how Madhavwas caught red-handed, Manish Sisodia did not seek to defend his own OSD. “This officer was posted in my office as OSD. CBI should get him punished strictly. I have got many such corrupt officials caught in last five years,” Deputy CM Manish Sisodia tweeted in Hindi. “I have no issues with the timing of arrest, whoever takes bribe should be caught immediately. We have zero tolerance for corruption,” he told NDTV.

But with it now being proven that corruption going all the way to the top of the Aam Aadmi Party, there are questions over the squeaky-clean image that the Aam Aadmi Party leadership seeks to project. “No OSD in a Deputy CM’s office can accept bribes without the knowledge of his political boss, BJP’s Amit Malviya said. “There have been several allegations of corruption on Kejriwal and Sisodia in the past too, Malviya tweeted and added, “The party born out of the movement against corruption will end with corruption.”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has yet to comment on the development.
