If you wonder why TV channels, newspapers and the mainstream media are so biased against the government, look no further than how the journalists that work for these organizations think.
Samiya Latief, a journalist working with the Times of India, has wished that Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah test positive for the coronavirus. Latief had shared a report on Twitter around how Gujarat Congress MLA Imran Khedawala had tested positive, and he’d met Gujarat CM hours before his positive test. Latief wondered whether Khedawala had also met PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, implying that if he had, these two might have also contracted the deadly virus.

Samiya Latief has now deleted her Twitter and Linkedin accounts, but OpIndia reports that she was an Assistant Editor at Times of India.
Incredibly, this isn’t the first time that journalists — who are supposed to be netural and objective — have wished for the deaths of PM Modi. In 2009, NDTV journalist Sunetra Choudhury had said that the news of PM Modi contracting H1NI was “really exciting” her.

Earlier one Prashant Kumar, who worked with Times Now, had said that now that PM Modi was promoting khadi, just like Mahatma Gandhi, when was Godse going to come into the picture, implying that PM Modi be assassinated.

The wish of PM Modi’s assassination is common among journalists. Vikas Malhotra, who has written for the Quint, had wished that a sniper attack PM Modi during a campaign rally.
