The BJP seems to have paid heed to the massive campaign launched by its online supporters against a contentious appointment the party had made.
NDTV reporter Dinesh Mansera has been removed as Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat’s media advisor. Rajya Sameeksha reports that an order has been issued in this regard. Dinesh Mansera had been appointed as the media advisor of the Uttarakhand CM just two days ago.

But immediately after his appointment, his old social media posts had been unearthed, in which he’d appeared to make fun of PM Modi, Baba Ramdev, and the Kumbh Mela. He’d also appeared to question the judgement of the Supreme Court which had given the Ayodhya land to build the Ram Mandir.

These tweets had led to immediate outrage, and several BJP supporters had called for his removal. The online campaign seems to have worked, and Dinesh Mansera was removed from his post just a day later.
Manera admitted to his removal in a Facebook post, saying that he’d decided to step down from the position.
